Village Park Nasi Lemak ($$)

If you ask what is the must-have authentic Malaysian food, most likely people will answer Nasi Lemak. Serving a combination of fragrance rice, beautifully tender crispy fried chicken and aromatic sambal sauce, Village Park Nasi Lemak is arguably the best nasi lemak restaurant in town. The place is pretty crowded during peak hours, so be sure to visit early to avoid the crowd.

Acha Curry House ($)

If you like the idea of tucking into curry-laden rice with vegetables and various dishes, Acha Curry House is the place to go. Located in Petaling Jaya, this restaurant allows you to take as many vegetables as you like with no additional costs. Their curries go well together, allowing for a harmonious meal.

ICC Pudu ($ - $$)

Located near the city centre, Pudu is an old neighbourhood well known for a long list of local restaurants. Many restaurants here had a long history of operation such as Big Tree Curry Laksa, Restoran Wong Mei Kee and Yung Kee Beef Noodles.

However, if it’s your first time visiting Pudu and not sure where to start, we would recommend visiting ICC Pudu food court where you’ll find local foods at affordable prices. Think Nasi Lemak, Popiah, Chee Cheong Fun and curry noodles – all under one roof!
